On this single, Mango Wood touches the boundaries of 68-72 with two songs that are at both extremes. On the one hand, “Never Ever” presents a late Rock Steady in which the transition from Rock Steady to Reggae can be heard. And on the other hand is "Come Down", a reggae track that has already moved far away from early reggae and, as in late 1972, begins to combine with more complex rhythmic patterns that herald the end of a key era in Jamaica's history with Mango Wood demonstrating their ability to perform with enviable ease.*Liquidator
