LP The Incredible Shrinking Dickies

Southern California pop-punk icons The Dickies emerged from the San Fernando Valley in the late 1970s. Their members included Iggy Pop's smack buddy Stan Lee on lead guitar, Chuck Wagon on keyboards and saxophone, Karlos Kaballero on drums, Billy Club on bass and Leonard Graves Phillips as frontman. Their mix of angry riffs, catchy lyrics and silly antics soon landed them a deal with A&M after the Pistols defected, and this excellent debut shows the band at their best. Songs like "You Drive Me Ape" and "Mental Ward" wowed audiences on both sides of the Atlantic and the album made the UK Top 20. An absolute must for all Dickies fans and lovers of the LA punk scene!
