CD The Upsessions - Below the Belt

The Netherlands has long been a spearhead in Europe with bands such as Mr. Review and Rude Rich & The High Notes. Since 2005 you have to add to this list the upsessions around singer/guitarist Boss van Trigt, who now present their third album with "Below The Belt". They have learned their lesson between Toots and the Maytals and The Meters really thoroughly. The melange of grooving rhythm section, rousing organ sound and rich voice works true wonders. And while the Dutch present an extremely danceable first single with "Beat Me Reggae", the remaining 11 pieces offer hardly any weaknesses. The Upsessions, which dance live across the stage in tracksuits, have energy for 12 rounds.
