Few Jamaican musicians have demonstrated greater versatility and virtuosity than Lloyd Charmers, who made a name for himself as a young singer-songwriter in the Jamaican music scene in the early 1960s. His work as a performer and producer includes numerous major reggae hits. After his international breakthrough, he also produced for keyboard virtuoso Harold Butler. Butler's sought-after album "Gold Connection," an instrumental collection from 1976, contains nine outstanding reggae and soul instrumentals, including popular versions of "That's the Way I Like It" and the title track "Gold Connection."
