LP The Upsessions - Below the Belt

The Netherlands has long been a spearhead in Europe with bands such as Mr. Review and Rude Rich & The High Notes. Since 2005 you have to add to this list the upsessions around singer/guitarist Boss van Trigt, who now present their third album with "Below The Belt". They have learned their lesson between Toots and the Maytals and The Meters really thoroughly. After personnel changes at the beginning of 2009, it becomes clear already in the opener "Mocca Cowboy Rides Again" why the recorded sextet now acts far ahead: The melange of grooving rhythm section, rousing organ sound and rich voice works true miracles. The Upsessions, who dance live in tracksuits across the stage, have energy for 12 rounds!
