Founding member Dave Wakeling presents his edition of The Beat as the first studio album since the band's dissolution in 1982 – Here We Go Love is a collection of 13 new and lively songs, with a perfect combination of contemporary sound and the timeless classics that made the band famous. "In addition to the live band, which provides a great groove on the album, some guests like Roddy "Radiation" Byers (The Specials, The Skabilly Rebels), Train guitarist Luis Maldonado and backing singer Durga McBroom, Kevin Williams and Jelani Jones are worth mentioning.
