CD Doreen Shaffer - Adorable

Doreen Shaffer is considered the 'Queen Of Jamaica Ska' – original member of the Skatalites since 1964, who charmed the audience not least by duets with Jackie Opel and of course her own singles. Her performances with the veterans of the Ska are still celebrated moments of every Skatalites concert. The collaboration with her led not only to a European tour in 1997, where she was accompanied by Dr. Ring-Ding & the Senior Allstars, but also to the album 'Adorable' on Grover Records. Doreen Shaffer presents new compositions as well as successful reggae adaptations of non-genre pieces and some ska favourites of the Sixties, to which she gives a special touch with her incomparably warm and sensitive voice.
