This 11-track LP features steamy Jamaican ska melodies, soulful rocksteady ballads and hard-hitting boss reggae riddims that are destined to be heard in the dance halls. Jon E Bravo, also known as Mr. Kingpin, has been writing, recording and performing ska music with Dallas-based 2Tone band Rude King for the past 16 years and collaborates with various artists around the world. "Introducing... Mr. Kingpin" was recorded in the surreal year of 2020, featuring a group of musicians who have been writing and recording vintage-inspired ska and reggae music for decades. Two debut singles released in 2019, produced by Esteban Flores and mixed by Jayson Nugent (The Slackers). A true Jamaican feel-good album from start to finish!
